Les Filles Du Surf was born in 2019, when Jeanne, a 28-year-old graphic designer and illustrator, worked for a women's surf magazine. She noticed that the girls featured in the women's press overall, but also in the surf press, mostly conveyed the cliché of the slim and slender surfer, without any imperfections.
